Beside of compressed and primitive script, poor CGI and weak production GOT didn't keep her main promises. Promises bred while main character of the show was built by GRRM heedfully.

Promise 1: Jon Snow (Bastard) became the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch.

Promise 2: Assassinated Lord Commander resurrected by Lord of Light.

Promise 3: Jon Snow (Bastard) became King in the North.

Promise 4: Samwell Tarly and Bran revealed that Jon Snow is the son of Rheagar Targaryen and the rightful heir to the Iron Throne.

Promise 5: Jon Snow united armies to fight the Death and leaded them to the victory.

Above all Jon was only character devoted enough to go to the fiery edges of his highest limits. Only one actually can make the change happen. And you Benioff and Weiss; marked him assassin, exiled him to the land of no man, expelled the Dragon, the true King, alongside Wildlings (No offense but tribe of savages). Congratulation jerks, you did reductio ad absurdum.
